Moroccan Tuareg necklace (brass, copper and silver metal)This stunning handcrafted North African Tuareg pendant has been crafted from brass, copper and silver metal. The Moroccan Tuareg necklace is known as a 'Tcherot', a talisman worn for protection by both men and women. It has been strung on cotton. The reverse of the pendant is also engraved with Tuareg designs. The Tuareg people were the craftspeople of North Africa. They produced the arms for warriors, tools for agriculture and striking jewellery such as this piece, for adornment. An engraving tool has been used by the artisan to create the geometric forms which adorn this lovely piece. Turquoise beads have also been used to decorate this necklace. We choose jewellery because we have fallen in love with it. Or because it will look perfect with the outfit we are planning to wear. There is rarely wrong jewellery, but some pieces are more suited to an outfit than others. This beautiful Tuarag pendant is a unique piece of tribal jewellery from Morocco. The age of this piece is unknown.
Length:75cm In addition, we also have another Tuareg pendant necklace, in a larger size. This is the perfect companion piece, which can be worn by your partner or also displayed alongside this lovely piece of jewellery.
