Potters from Fes, were trained by ceramic masters from Spain and Portugal in the 9th century, to create the elaborate designs which combined their Moroccan Berber heritage with the Spanish/Portuguese influence.

Our ceramics were selected from a family business, where the skills of pottery making are passed down from father to son. The designs incorporate simple borders, geometric motifs and floral designs. Each piece is unique because of the firing technique used to create them for, once fired, there is no way to predict how the glaze will settle. Two articles made with the same glaze could easily come out two different shades, adding to the dedication and skill required for this art form.

Our first range of ceramics is featuring black on a brilliant white background. The many different shapes of plates, bowls and vases make them incredibly versatile for interior decorating.
